POLE Position Karts Zimbabwe have entered into a partnership with Worr Motorsport (South Africa) and Karting Africa, a collaboration that promises to create new opportunities for driver development and strengthen the future of karting in Zimbabwe.
Founded with a vision of making karting more accessible, affordable, and enjoyable for aspiring racers, Pole Position Karts has become the country’s leading karting development initiative.
Through their recreational karting programmes, driver coaching, and kart racing events, Pole Position Karts has introduced thousands of young Zimbabweans to the sport of karting, often serving as their first step into competitive motorsport.
The organisation has played a significant role in identifying and nurturing young talent by providing drivers with a safe and structured environment at their home track within the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
The facility, which meets international standards, has given drivers the opportunity to develop race-craft, discipline, sportsmanship, and technical understanding.
Many participants have progressed from recreational karting into competitive racing, helping to grow the country’s motorsport community and create a sustainable pathway for future champions.
The new partnership with Worr Motorsport and Karting Africa represents an important milestone in this journey.
By combining local expertise with regional motorsport knowledge and development resources, the collaboration will provide Zimbabwean drivers with greater exposure to African karting opportunities and higher levels of competition.
“This partnership is an exciting step forward for everyone involved in Zimbabwean karting,” said a representative of Pole Position Karts. “Our goal has always been to create opportunities for young drivers and help them realise their potential. Working alongside Worr Motorsport and Karting Africa allows us to offer even greater opportunities for development, competition, and progression within the sport.”
Karting is globally recognised as the foundation of motorsport, with many Formula One, IndyCar, and international racing stars beginning their careers behind the wheel of a kart.
Through this partnership, Pole Position Karts aims to further elevate the standard of karting within the country while creating meaningful opportunities for local drivers to showcase their talent on larger stages.
Wesleigh Orr, the person behind Karting Africa said: “The collaxboration also reflects a shared commitment to growing motorsport throughout Africa by investing in young talent, encouraging participation, and building stronger links between national karting communities. We have one dream, one vision and that’s to show what Africa is capable of.”
As Zimbabwe’s motorsport landscape continues to evolve, Pole Position Karts remains committed to providing exciting, accessible, and professional karting experiences that inspire the next generation of racers.
