Brian Koga Tendere (29), Itai Bakasa and Kudakwashe Dhliwayo have since appeared in court facing charges of unlawful entry into premises and attempted murder.
They were not asked to plead when they appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Shane Kubonera recently who remanded them in custody. Prosecutor Ms Svodai Kadivirire alleges that on March 8 this year Tendere and Bakasa armed with a pistol went to a House in Helensvale Road, Borrowdale where the complainant was employed as a security guard.
Upon arrival, it is alleged, the pair scaled over the pre-cast wall and gained entry into the premises.
While inside, Tendere sneaked into the living room through a window and Bakasa is alleged to have remained outside armed with a pistol.
At around 12 midnight the complainant heard some noise and went outside to investigate.
He allegedly saw Bakasa near the living room window and he approached him. Bakasa, it is alleged, shot him on the right leg before fleeing with Tendere.
Earlier on January 30, it is alleged, Tendere in the company of Dhliwayo went to Mr Joseph Musika’s residence in Highlands and broke into it getting way with property worth US$900.
On February they raided Ms Irene Jackson’s house in Greystone Park, Borrowdale and ransacked property worth US$7 655, it is alleged.
The complainant woke up and found her property missing.
It is alleged that Coca Cola Central Africa operations marketing manager Mr Atkins Ferere lost his Hyundai Plasma screen and other property valued US$3 500 when the same suspects pounced at his Borrowdale home.
On April 7, it is alleged, Tendere and Dhliwayo robbed Mr Brian Nugget of his 42 inch Plasma television and a book laptop valued at US$2 500 after breaking into his Borrowdale home.
Mr Takawira Gatsi of the same suburb is alleged to have lost his 40-inch plasma screen and other property worth US$2 500.
