A MAN is on the run over the murder of Obey Guvheya, who was stabbed at a beer outlet, on Christmas Day last year.
Munyaradzi Muusha, 26, escaped when his brother Robert was arrested.
In a statement, Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, said police were looking for Munyaradzi in connection with the murder.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating the callous murder that occurred on December 25, 2023 at around 7pm in Eastview area,” said Insp Chakanza.
“The incident took place at the Hardware Shops.
“Information is hereby sought for the apprehension of the fugitive chief suspect Munyaradzi Muusha (alias Shirinyenyama).
“It is alleged that Munyaradzi, acting in collusion with his brother Robert Muusha, stabbed the deceased in the stomach following an altercation that had arisen moments earlier at a beer outlet.”
He added:
“The victim was then taken to Parirenyatwa Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after admission.
“While police have managed to bring Munyaradzi Muusha’s accomplice and brother Robert Muusha into custody, the public’s assistance is sought to apprehend Munyaradzi Muusha, who remains at large.
“His last known addresses are 334 Phase 6 in Eastview and Solomon Muusha Village under Chief Nhema in Zaka.”
