THE Bulawayo Pool Association (BPA) has been compelled to suspend three of its executive members pending investigations into their conduct.
In a circular, BPA vice chairman Tawinei Nhachi said the suspended members are Tendai Charuka (chairman), Nkosi Gatsha (secretary-general) and Khayila Chirwa (treasurer).
Charuka and Gatsha turn out for Lounge Sharks while Chirwa is in the books of Msindo Pool Club.
According to impeccable sources the trio was alleged to have embezzled the associationas bank funds.
Figures being thrown around are between $6 000 and $8 000 and this was still subject to verification.
B Metro Sport is reliably informed that from the look of things, the current BPA bank account is at $495.
Contacted for comment, BPA publicity secretary Farai Nyandoro said on Saturday there would be an Emergency Special Meeting for all clubs at Raylton Recreation Club where each team was expected to send a maximum of two representatives.
a?All what I can say is that the trio has been suspended pending investigations into their conduct.
Investigations are still going on but on Saturday, we will have an Emergency Special Meeting and two issues will be on the agenda.
We will have an item on BPA state of financial affairs and the other one will be on the executive membersa suspensions,a? said Nyandoro. .
