Chipangano lost their sixth match of the season when they fell 0-3 to Gunners at the Colliery Stadium on Sunday and the prospect of a seventh loss are high as they are on the road to a wounded Caps United side this weekend.
“We are really getting worried as an executive. We have called for an urgent meeting to map the way forward because we cannot continue losing games like this,” said Hwange secretary and spokesman, Burzil Dube.
Dube said there is a high probability of a massive assault on the market as they seek to beef up their squad during this second transfer window and that naturally meant offloading a number of players.
“Our feeling is that the boys are not really giving it their all and we therefore need to bring in new faces during this window,” said Dube, in yet another public show of support to the Chilumba-led technical bench.
With the defeat, Chipangano dropped to 12th place on the standings and together with Bulawayo side Quelaton, are the only sides from the Southern Region who are finding life hard in the league as the other four sides, Highlanders, Shabanie Mine, FC Platinum and Chicken Inn occupy the top four positions on the standings.

The match has been on ice for a long time now and to the die-hard Highlanders supporters, the journey will never be complete until victory over their worst enemy is secured.
Shabanie Mine will rue the day they lost 0-2 at home to Highlanders as those three points could be the difference between them and the league title come end of the season. The Luke Masomere-coached outfit, despite having average players, are now championship contenders and their 1-0 win over giant killers, Harare City, pushed their points tally to 26 points, five behind Bosso while City remained on 10th position with 18 points, nine of those points against former Premiership champions.
Adam Ndlovu’s Chicken Inn completed a memorable week with their second set of three points after edging visiting Motor Action 1-0 at Luveve Stadium on Sunday. The Gamecox move to fourth on the standings with 25 points, the same as FC Platinum who dropped their first points since the departure of Rahman Gumbo.
The Moneybags were held to a one-all draw by Mutare-based Buffaloes.
