PEOPLE’S Own Savings Bank (POSB) has strategically partnered with Zimnat General Insurance to provide an extensive range of bancassurance services, enhancing the bank’s service portfolio and offering customers convenient access to essential insurance services.

Through this collaboration, POSB is now offering various insurance services underwritten by Zimnat, including motor vehicle insurance (both third-party and comprehensive covers). Customers can now pay for their Zimnat motor vehicle insurance premiums and renew their ZINARA and ZBC radio licences through POSB.

Additionally, the partnership includes a Hospital Cash Plan that provides financial support to customers during hospitalisation. This plan offers a daily cash benefit to help cover incidental expenses and alleviate financial stress during recovery.

POSB chief executive officer Mr Garainashe Changunda said: “This partnership with Zimnat General Insurance allows us to provide convenient and accessible insurance solutions, ensuring our customers can manage their financial needs under one roof.”

“As we celebrate our 120th anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to a customer-centric approach, leveraging partnerships and innovation to transform customer experiences while continuing our legacy of innovation and inclusivity,” he added.

Zimnat General Insurance CEO  Mrs Betty Chiware-Togarasei said: “We’re excited to collaborate with POSB, a resilient bank with an extensive network reaching remote areas, to bring our sought-after insurance services to more people.”

“This partnership aligns with our mission to empower prosperity through innovative insurance solutions. We anticipate a mutually beneficial collaboration that strengthens communities,” she added.

The partners confirmed plans to expand their bancassurance offerings, with additional insurance services currently in development to provide customers with comprehensive financial solutions.
