Zimbabwe’s Courtney Jongwe heads to India for 72nd Miss World pageant

Zimbabwe’s beauty queen Courtney Jongwe is gearing up to represent the nation on one of the world’s grandest stages, the 72nd Miss World pageant, set for May 31 in Telangana, India.

Radiant with pride and purpose, Jongwe, who left the country for India on Monday, shared her excitement with her supporters.
“I’m beyond thrilled to represent Zimbabwe at the 72nd Miss World pageant in Telangana, India! The final takes place on Saturday, May 31st, and I can’t wait to showcase the beauty, strength, and culture of Zimbabwe on the global stage.”

Having earned her crown at the Miss World Zimbabwe finals in Harare last year, Jongwe’s journey is rooted in more than beauty. It is a mission to spotlight Zimbabwe’s culture, resilience, and potential.

Her message to supporters was filled with gratitude and ambition: “Your love and support mean the world to me as I embark on this incredible journey. Let’s do this!”

As the final night approaches, Jongwe will join contestants from over 100 countries, each sharing their own stories of purpose and progress.
