The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) has revitalised the Masendu Community Information Centre (CIC) in Bulilima district, Matabeleland South province, by equipping it with solar power.

This initiative has provided a much-needed lifeline to the centre, which had been closed for over four months due to a lack of electricity in the area.

Opened in May 2023, Masendu CIC stands as the only information centre in the district.

The centre was established by Potraz, working with its parent ministry, the Ministry of Information Communication Technology and Courier Services as well as Zimpost.

It offers internet access, computer training, research for schools and community.
