ZIMBABWE’S telecommunications regulator, Postal Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) is set to host the second edition of its Data Privacy Week Symposium in the resort city of Victoria Falls starting on Tuesday.
This year’s event is being held under the theme, “Bridging technology, policy, law and practice: Towards strengthening data protection in Zimbabwe”.
Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Dr Tatenda Mavetera is expected to officially open the event on Wednesday. Expected to attend is Matabeleland North Provincial Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution RIchard Moyo, ICT Deputy Minister Dingumuzi Phuti, ICT permanent secretary Dr Beulah Chirume, Potraz director general Dr Gift Machengete and various players in the ICT sector.
