PoZee protege marches on

.
While he is thousands of miles away from his mentor PoZee, Canada-based rapper Lesly Ndibali is preparing to release an EP that will do justice to all the years under the Kas No Valo bossas tutelage.

Although the EP or mini album, titled Freedom of Speech, is set to be released under the rapperas Invasion Entertainment imprint, the rapper still pays homage to the kwaito kingpin who nurtured his talent.

a?Although I moved to Canada in 2010 to join my parents, PoZee has always been like a brother to me. Iave known him for many years and heas been my mentor ever since weave known each other. He helped a lot in finding my direction as an artiste,a? said the rapper who is studying film at the University of Manitoba in Canada.

The 25-year-old rapper who in his nine years in the music industry has released only one other project besides his work with Pozeeas KLAP collective, said he had titled his latest album Freedom of Speech as a homage to hip-hop, the genre that allowed him to fully express himself.

a?My music is mostly shaped and defined by everyday life. Itas all about things happening in everyday life. I called this EP Freedom of Speech because I feel like hip-hop is the only genre of music that can allow you to be yourself and allow you to truly speak your mind,a? he said.

The former Inyathi High School boy, who owns the Invasion Entertainment imprint with Congo-born DJ Keez, said that although he had extensive links to his home country, he had decided to work with mostly Canadian producers for the upcoming project.

Some of the producers who worked on the album include Beat Legends , Suplex on the Beat, Game ChangerzA and Boogey The Beat.
