A MARRIED farm worker has been barred from going to her employer’s farm where she was threatening to kill herself because she claims the owner of the farm impregnated her.
Ellestina Mwenemi claims she is four months pregnant and was impregnated by her employer, Lawrence Zulu, who is the owner of the farm.
This is despite the fact that she is married to another man.
Ellestina claims her husband kicked her out of their home after he found out that she was having an affair with her employer.
She has been threatening to kill herself at the farm and this led Zulu to seek a protection order against her.
Yesterday, Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Zulu’s request and ordered the two to find ways to resolve their differences.
Zulu also claims Ellestina stole his fertilizer worth US$1 000.
“I banned her from my farm because she stole fertilizer worth US$1 000.
“She now comes to my farm, sleeps on my doorstep and claims to be four months pregnant.”
“I was never involved in any sexual relationship with the accused because she is married.
“She comes to my farm with a traditional healer planting herbs around my farm.”
Ellestina said:
“I took the fertilizer in agreement with my boss because we were in an affair and we started dating last year in December and we have had sex several times.
“I cannot stop going to his farm because my husband kicked me out when he found out that I was pregnant.”
