ELSIE Manditsera, a Junior Member of Parliament and Zimbabwe Child Chief Justice, is showing exceptional leadership skills and commitment to serving her community.

She is a Lower Sixth student at Howard High School.

“I got an opportunity to visit the community nearby and saw the need to engage each and every one in building our community.

“My passion is to give back to the community and, to achieve this, I am enganging former students of schools within our community.

“It needs collective responsibility to come up with ways to develop our own communities.”

Elsie told H-Metro that, with support from well wishers, she want to donate sanitary pads to nearby rural schools, starting with those near Howard High School.

Additionally, she wants to provide uniforms and stationery to five underprivileged students at Nyanzuru School.

Elsie is the daughter of Salvation Army Church Captain Floyd and Major Brenda Manditsera.

She is also known for playing leading roles in drama and dance and in public speaking.

Elsie aims to become a passionate advocate for change.

She also hopes to pursue a career as a professional choreographer, sharing her love of dance with others.
