The show will see the city’s top hairstylists showcase their skills in a head-to-head fight to determine who the best is.
In an interview yesterday, organiser of the awards show, Patrick Madanga said all was in place for the show, which will be the first of its kind to be held in the city.
“Everything is in place for the show and everyone with interest in hairstyling from Bulawayo has been invited to participate. The show will be the first of its kind in the city and for that we want to make sure that everything runs smoothly,” he said.
Madanga said they had invited three veteran hairstylists from South Africa and Botswana, whose identities are yet to be revealed, to judge the final competition. He said the show was open to anyone who had an interest in taking part.
“We have invited three hairstylists from South Africa and Botswana whose names we will reveal in due course. Everyone is open to enter the competition and it does not matter whether they are students or professional hairstylists, everyone will be welcomed with open arms,” he said.
Madanga said that entertainment on the night will be provided by local dance groups and KS from South Africa while preliminary judging for the show will be done at Bulawayo Theatre between four and 6pm.
“Besides the awards show, we will keep the people attending entertained through music and dance. Entertainment for the night will be provided by KS from South Africa who will be supported by various dance groups based locally,” he said.
