Preparations for Heroes and Defence Forces Days now advanced

PREPARATIONS for the country’s 45th Heroes Day and Defence Forces Day commemorations are now advanced and progressing well, Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri has said.

She made the remarks this morning while officially opening the Zimbabwe Defence Forces Community Assistance Week, which precedes the annual commemorations.

Heroes Day will be commemorated on August 11, while Zimbabwe Defence Forces Day will be held the following day at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.

Provincial celebrations, Minister Muchinguri-Kashiri said, will be conducted at the traditional venues countrywide.
