Preparations for SW25 and Green Business Expo in Bulawayo at advanced stage

THE preparations for the 2025 Zimbabwe Climate Change Sustainability Week and Green Business Expo to be held in Bulawayo are at an advanced stage.

Slotted for 16 to 18 September 2025, the event is being hosted by The ClimatePrenuer (Private) Limited in partnership with the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company and the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife at the Zimbabwe International Conference and Exhibition Smart City (ZICES).

The three-day gathering will brings together Government, business, academia, NGOs and community leaders to turn Zimbabwe’s climate challenges into green opportunities.

The SW25 and Green Business Expo is designed to translate the national frameworks such as the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS 2) (2026-2030) and the country’s third generation Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC3.0) into on the ground action.

In an interview giving an update, The Climateprenuer Executive Chairman, Mr Kwanele Hlabangana and Co-Chairperson SW25 Event Organising Committee, said they were well on track.

“The preparations are going on very well. We are thrilled by the overwhelming response from across Government, private sector financiers and international partners who are all eager to collaborate on tangible climate action,” he said.

“The momentum behind the event is incredible and we are putting the final touches on what promises to be the premier sustainability event of the year. Delegates can look forward to a dynamic and action oriented event. It’s a launchpad for sustainable development that are driven by a shared vision for a green future.”

He said the event was a platform to discover cutting-edge technologies, forge powerful partners and unlock tangible opportunities in carbon trading, circular economies and climate finance. Registration of delegates and exhibitors is still going on.

The Minister of Environment, Climate and Wildlife, Dr Evelyn Ndlovu is set to deliver a keynote address while there will also be interactive panels, technical workshops and an exhibition showcasing green technologies and regenerative practices.
