Joyous Celebration Choir from South Africa will be performing at the Harare International Conference Centre at the launch of TN Bank malls.
The highpowered 50member group comprising singers like Uche whose powerful voice made the song “My God Is Good” popular not only in Zimbabwe but on the African continent, will be the toast of the group at the gospel concert.
If you think the joy ends there, then you are in for a surprise.
Two other top South African gospel artistes, Sipho Makhabane and Derrick Ndzimande, are also billed to illuminate the launch.
The show has been dubbed as one of the best gospel music concerts ever to happen in the country this year.
Held under the theme “Celebrating the Successes of the Year”, the event seeks to take stock not only of the successes that the bank has scored in the previous years, but also the great strides that Zimbabwe has taken as a nation.
The local lineup will see Charles Charamba and his wife Olivia, Mahendere Brothers as well as Stanley “Pastor G” Gwanzura performing.
Gospel diva Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave, who was recently blessed with a baby boy named Courage after her husband, will also be part of the starstudded performers.
Upcoming artiste Tafadzwa Sadindi and the TN Choir will also have a chance to showcase the stuff they are made of when they share the stage with big guns on the gospel scene.
Makhabane, who last set foot on Zimbabwean soil during gospel musician Elias Musakwa’s private wedding ceremony where he was guest of honour.
The “Vhuka Mpefumulo Wami” hitmaker is expected to illuminate the launch of the banking malls with a string of other hits that endeared him to his legion of Zimbabwean music fans.
The Charambas, on the other hand, are not new to the music scene and command a huge fan base.
They have a catalogue of hit albums apiece, such as “Daily Bread” and “Pashoko Pangoma” among others.
Mahendere Brothers are also set to leave fans crying for more when they go through their dances as well as scintillating songs like “Hupenyu Hwepanyika”, “Mapisarema 23” and “Mbale Wanga”.
The show is strictly by invitation and only for holders of the new TN Smart Card and current TN Cash Card.
