President Mnangagwa has arrived back home from Baku, Azerbaijan where he joined over 100 world leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference commonly referred to as COP29.

President Mnangagwa was welcomed by Vice Presidents Dr Constantino Chiwenga and Cde Kembo Mohadi, Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet Dr Martin Rushwaya, Cabinet Ministers, Service Chiefs and other senior Government officials.
Speaking to the media upon his arrival, the President said they had held constructive dialogue in Baku.

Climate change funding, he said, had been a top priority.
“It was a discussion around how nations mitigate against the impacts of climate, so many views were brought forward,” he said.

“Nations should prepare themselves to mitigate against climate change.”
