President Mnangagwa has extended a gesture of support to 1 700 vendors operating at the newly revamped Mbare Musika market by covering their rental fees for one month.

At the official opening of the new Mbare Musika market, President Mnangagwa handed over a bank card that has been credited with funds to cater for one month’s rent for all registered beneficiaries at the market.

The Mbare Musika redevelopment is part of a broader urban renewal initiative aimed at improving infrastructure and creating a more conducive environment for informal traders.

The President emphasised the importance of empowering small businesses and reaffirmed Government’s commitment to inclusive economic growth.

The market, a central hub for produce and small-scale trade in Harare, is expected to significantly boost commerce and improve hygiene and safety standards for both traders and customers.
