President declares Monday public holiday

Holidays and Prohibition of Business Act (Chapter 10; 21). The declaration of Monday as a public holiday means most companies will close for the Christmas break tomorrow (Friday). The country will commemorate Unity Day on Saturday followed by Christmas Day on Tuesday and Boxing Day on Wednesday.
