PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has hailed a local church leader for prioritising the health of hospital patients.

The President was speaking at State House yesterday after receiving a consignment of five containers loaded with 570 beds and mattresses, 560 wheelchairs, and one million two hundred sanitary pads from Madzibaba Moses Gwasarira of Johanne Masowe yeChishanu.

“This is what we mean by saying nyika inovakwa, nekunamatirwa nevene vayo.

“We want to thank people like Madzibaba Moses for considering other people.

“Some do not think of helping others when they have the opportunity.

“This donation will go a long way at various hospitals in our provinces,” said President Mnangagwa.

Madzibaba Moses was humbled by the acceptance of his donation by President Mnangagwa.

“I didn’t know that His Excellency, President Mnangagwa would accept this donation and also give us an ear and time.

“He gave us time to talk about our concerns and expressed his joy with us.

“As for the donation, I am aware that not all problems faced by people need spiritual healing or deliverance, some want wheelchairs while others want to be treated while resting on a good bed,” said Madzibaba Moses.

Madzibaba Moses, who is also the national chairperson of Vapositori and Zion Churches, was accompanied by his lieutenants Obey Mapuranga, Elton Tavengwa, Nicky Magunda, Everson Magunda, and Gabriel Dambiko.
