She also lost two sons, Richard and Stanley, four grandchildren and a daughter-in-law.
“Tell me how I am going to manage with 12 orphans left under my custody. They are all of school going age and they need clothes and food but since I am not employed, it’s a mammoth task,” she said.
Stanley left behind wife Cecilia and four children while Richard and Kudakwashe are survived by two children.
Already, Mbuya Madanhi was taking care of six other orphans. She said what pained her most was that she never had a chance to say goodbye to her husband.

“It is that (cotton) money that we expected to pay school fees with that we are using at the funeral,” she said.
Stanely’s wife Cecilia said: “I don’t know what I am going to do with these children as you can see our crop failed and our only hope is Babamunini Edson (Madanhi) who is a builder. However, he also has a family to look after.”
Mrs Elizabeth Mutekuro, Kudakwashe’s mother who came all the way from Masvingo could not believe she had lost her only daughter.
“I don’t think this day will ever be out of my mind. It is painful since I didn’t expect it,” she said.
