TODAY, the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Angeline Gata introduced representatives from the Africa Education Summit, Global Skills Hub, United Kingdom, and the United States of America to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The delegation sought permission to host the 3rd Africa Education Summit in Victoria Falls from April 5 to April 8, 2025.
During the meeting, President Mnangagwa expressed his support for the initiative, emphasising the importance of education in driving economic growth and development across the continent. He granted the delegation the necessary permissions to proceed with their plans and confirmed that he would officiate at the event.
The Africa Education Summit aims to unite education leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the continent to discuss strategies for improving educational outcomes and fostering global partnerships. This year’s summit is expected to attract significant attention and participation, highlighting Zimbabwe’s commitment to advancing educational initiatives in Africa.
The choice of Victoria Falls as the venue underscores the country’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, positioning it as an ideal location for international gatherings.
