President Mnangagwa arrives to open Iron and Steel Indaba in Kwekwe

KWEKWE, Zimbabwe—President Emmerson Mnangagwa, accompanied by Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga, has arrived to officially open the Iron and Steel Indaba at the King Solomon Hotel. This key event aims to foster discussions among industry leaders and policymakers regarding investment opportunities and strategies to boost the growth of Zimbabwe’s iron and steel sector.

The Indaba, themed “Leveraging the Resurgence of the Zimbabwean Iron and Steel Industry,” seeks to revitalise an industry that has faced challenges in recent years.


Key speakers include Mr Chen Shangsong, Dinson Holding Company chairman, and the Engineering Iron and Steel Association of Zimbabwe president, who will address the audience on innovative practices and investment prospects.

This initiative is critical as Zimbabwe aims to enhance its industrial capacity and attract foreign investment to stimulate economic growth.
