MUTARE, Zimbabwe — President Emmerson Mnangagwa has officially commissioned a new computer lab and a renovated boys hostel at the Magamba Vocational Training Centre (MVTC).

This event marks a significant step in enhancing the educational infrastructure and resources available to students at the centre.

During his tour, President Mnangagwa highlighted the importance of equipping vocational training centres with modern technology to better prepare students for the demands of the job market.

The newly established computer lab will provide students with vital skills in information technology, an increasingly essential area in today’s economy.

Notably, the renovation of the boys’ hostel was a collaborative effort, completed by the students at MVTC under the guidance of their lecturers and instructors.

This hands-on project not only improved the living conditions for students but also served as a practical learning experience, allowing them to apply their skills in real-world settings.

The improvements at MVTC are part of the Government’s broader commitment to enhancing vocational education and training across the country.

By investing in facilities and resources, the Government aims to empower young people with the skills necessary for personal and professional success, ultimately contributing to Zimbabwe’s economic development.
