PRESIDENT Mnangagwa, who is the Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) Chancellor, is expected to cap nearly 4 000 graduands at the institution on Thursday.

Last year, he capped over 3 500 graduates. As per tradition, this year’s 21st graduation ceremony will be held at the CUT Sportsgrounds.

CUT’s communications and public relations director, Mr Shadreck Nembaware, confirmed Thursday’s event saying everything is in place for a successful graduation.

Tents and other necessary facilities have been put in place, with final rehearsals and accreditation of the media slated for Wednesday.

“We have everything in place for this year’s 21st graduation ceremony, which is expected to take place this Thursday, where President Mnangagwa will officiate,” he said.

Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Marian Chombo said the province is ready to host the Head of State.

This year’s graduation is running under the theme: “Leveraging heritage-based technology for the consolidation of national development milestones”.
