PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has honoured Sikandar Raza for being the world’s T20 best all-rounder.

Writing on his Facebook page, the Zimbabwe T20 captain, who is set to join the rest of the Chevrons squad in Sri Lanka for the ICC T20 World Cup, said the gift he received from the President is inspiring.

“I want to thank His Excellency for sharing his valuable time and honouring me with the gift,” said Raza.

“The highest office recognised me for being the World’s Number One, which is a testament to his support for me and cricket.

“This kind gesture will encourage all athletes to excel in their respective sports. In sha Allah, we will have more number ones in different sports and will raise the Zimbabwean flag high.”
