President Mnangagwa Meets Hunan Province Communist Party Secretary Ahead of FOCAC 2024

IN a significant diplomatic engagement, President Mnangagwa met with Cde Shen Xiaoming, the Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Committee for Hunan Province, on Saturday.
The meeting took place during President Mnangagwa’s visit to Hunan for business discussions, marking a crucial step in strengthening economic ties between Zimbabwe and China.

The meeting comes as preparations ramp up for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) 2024, where leaders from across Africa are expected to engage with Chinese officials to discuss trade, investment, and development partnerships.
President Mnangagwa’s presence in China underscores Zimbabwe’s commitment to deepening its relationship with one of its key economic partners.

The discussions are expected to focus on enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, infrastructure, and technology, as both nations seek to bolster their economic collaboration in the face of global challenges.
