As SADC chair, President Mnangagwa is expected to advocate for the interests of Southern African nations in discussions around climate finance and sustainable development.

This year’s COP29 is particularly significant as countries aim to build on commitments made in previous conferences, with a focus on implementation and accountability.
The involvement of leaders like President Mnangagwa underscores the importance of regional cooperation in tackling climate issues.
