It is with great honour and sense of pride that I once again address you all, as the curtain comes down at this 23rd National People’s Conference.

All of us should be proud to be members and leaders of Zanu-PF, representing the wishes of the generality of our great motherland, Zimbabwe. Undoubtedly, the planning of the Conference was exhaustive and thorough. The Venue is grand and historic. The Conference layout was highly professional and Agenda was elaborately covered.

This accomplishment, along with the outcomes of Conference, as stipulated in the Resolutions, demonstrates that Zanu-PF is not an ordinary organisation.

We are a great, people-driven revolutionary movement; a Juggernaut that can never be stopped.

As we conclude the business of this year’s Conference, let us go back to Provinces and Districts, with our heads up high, proud of who we are and what we are achieving to realise the aspirations of all communities in our motherland, Zimbabwe.

Tauya, tikakurukura, tikawirirana kusunga zvisungo zvichaendesa bato nenyika yedu mberi. SeZanu-PF, irikutonga, musangano wevanhu, tiri kuunza budiriro munyika yese, tisingasiye munhu, kana dunhu kumashure.

Conference deliberations were frank and constructive, with clear guidelines on the central work to be undertaken by the Party and Government during the next year. We are emboldened by our sacred duty to develop, modernise and industrialise our country, in a peaceful and united environment.

Kumatunhu kose kwatinobva ngati dzokerei titsanangure kuvanhu zvese zvatawirirana, tichi gayeuchidza kuti “Nyika inovakwa, inotongwa, inonamatigwa nevene vayo/ ilizwe lakhiwa, libuswe, likhulekelwe ngabanikazi balo”.
Comrades;

The theme; “From Resolutions to Results: Consolidating Economic Development and Deepening Empowerment towards Vision 2030”, was very appropriate for this defining time in our Party history and national development stage.

It served as both a compass and source of inspiration for the work that lies ahead, reminding us that, the true measure of our success will be in the tangible results delivered to everyday lives of our people.

Conference successfully examined the state of our Party and other sectors of the economy and society, as a whole. The Resolutions have carefully outlined programmes and policies to be implemented and challenges requiring attention to propel prosperity for all. Collectively, we also reaffirmed the centrality of our national vision as well as shared responsibility, patriotism, loyalty, discipline and hard-honest work.

The message from this Conference is unequivocal, Zanu-PF is united, unshakable and focused towards the supreme goal of heartfelt service to the people of Zimbabwe and realising Vision 2030. Zanu-PF iNzou inoramba ichifamba, ichingo famba.

Conference echoed our enduring commitment to entrench the Party’s founding values, ideological clarity and revolutionary resolve, as building blocks upon which our movement deepens people-centred governance.

The evidence is there for all to see. We are a modern and futuristic Party.

Going forward, the Party’s strength should remain anchored on solid structures, efficient systems, a credible data base, and leaders who are immersed among the people. Party Wings, Organs and Structures, have a duty to be visible within communities, accountable and responsive. Simba rehove ririmumvura. Ndo-zvatiri, seMusangano. “The strength of a fish is in the water. That is who we are, as a Party.”

In our quest to deliver results, from the Resolutions outlined at this Conference, digitisation, research and innovation have become of urgent necessity. Equally, every cadre must raise their understanding of the respective mandates and duties imposed by these Resolutions so that we deliver on our promises.

Further, the Resolutions adopted at this 23rd National People’s Conference, require programmes and projects with measurable outcomes at grassroots level. As we return to our respective Provinces and Party Structures, obligatory implementation timelines should be established along with monitoring and evaluation systems. Likewise, challenges and gaps that arise, must be promptly addressed.

Meanwhile, Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies should remain aligned with Party policies and act with greater urgency in implementing agreed Conference Resolutions and decisions. Synergy, collaboration and a Whole of Society Approach, including the involvement of traditional leaders, should now be the norm. Our people, sector by sector, should be motivated to work harder towards attaining a higher quality of life and sustainable socio-economic development.

Let us also maintain an open-door policy to harness the diverse inputs from all stakeholders across society. The important feedback from stakeholders, such as our grassroot communities, religious leaders, academia, industrialists, farmers, SMEs, and entrepreneurship, should continue to help strengthen as well as sharpen our colossal revolutionary organisation.

United we stand, divided we fall; unity is indispensable to our continued success. Zanu-PF is supreme. Conference Delegates and Party members should always preach peace, unity, production and productivity.

Fellow Conference Delegates;
I once again commend the National Coordinating Committee led by the National Chairman, Cde O.C.Z. Muchinguri-Kashiri, the host Province of Mashonaland West, Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies among stakeholders who contributed to the resounding success of this 23rd National People’s Conference.

Tinotenda mhuri yeMashonaland West Province, nekutigamuchira muno muChinhoyi. “We thank the family/people of Mashonaland West Province for welcoming us here in Chinhoyi.”

Your hospitality as a Province was a befitting tribute to the memory of yester-year revolutionaries, great heroes and heroines who hailed from this Province.

I, equally, applaud all other Provinces for the generosity which saw unprecedented resources in cash and kind, being raised towards this Conference. These have gone a long way to ensure that this gathering is a resounding success.

Our actions have shown that no-one owns the revolution; Zanu-PF is an enormous, mass-Party. Together, Delegates, Party members and well-wishers alike, we are demonstrating that the DNA of our Party is imprinted on both present and future generations, in perpetuity. Congratulations. Makorokoto. Amhlophe, Congratulations.

This 23rd National People’s Conference, has therefore, marked a turning point in our Party’s history. We are decisively moving from promises to performance; declarations to delivery and “Resolutions to Results”.

Zanu-PF yaita chisungo kuno, ku Mashonaland West Province, kuti budiriro yataona pasi pe Second Republic, irikuenderera mberi.

Ticharamba tichikoshesa kusimudzirwa kwevechidiki, madzimai, neavo vanoita mabasa emaoko akasiyana- siyana.

We shall equally ensure the preservation of our armed liberation war heritage, our history, culture and religious freedom. Ndi Jehovah arikudenga anoita kuti mabasa edu, neNyika tibudirire. Halleluya!

All sectors of the economy stand assured that the Zanu-PF government will continue to create an environment where business and socio-economic activities can thrive.

Equally, partners, investors and the broader comity of nations can count on our Party to lead Government as a consistent ally in the realisation of global peace, security, development and shared prosperity.

Zimbabwe under Zanu-PF is not slowing down, nor remaining at this current level. We are moving full-speed ahead, to modernise, industrialise and empower all our people towards a higher standard of living.

This is the message I urge us, to report back to the membership of our Party, across Provinces, Districts and Branches. The future is growing brighter and brighter under Zanu-PF. Aluta Continua, Victory is Certain.

With these remarks, I, hereby, declare the 23rd National People’s Conference officially closed and wish us safe journeys as we travel back to our respective Provinces.
