Prince Edward dominate schools rugby league

Prince Edward School continued to hog the limelight in the schools rugby league following a convincing win over St George’s College at the weekend.

The Tigers beat their rivals 34-18.

The Tigers were in control as they had full ball possession throughout the match.

Prince Edward are unbeaten this season and Brian Tatenda Matoramusha was the top-scorer for the team with four tries. De Souza described his side as a strong squad.

“I am proud of my team, they played well away from home. Playing at Weaver is never easy, well done to the boys for keeping the momentum,” said De Souza.

“I am sure if they continue like this, they might win the school league .

“We have started the season on a very good note and the way the boys are delivering their assignments on the field shows that they are a strong side.”

Falcon College also had a good weekend when they defeated St John’s College 41-25. Lomagundi beat Eaglesvale 24-12, Milton thumped Kwekwe 30-0 while Kyle College beat Peterhouse 22-18.

Hellenic School beat Watershed 24-19.
