Principals in Botswana as Troika meets

Speaking from Gaborone yesterday, Acting Foreign Affairs Minister Patrick Chinamasa said they were not yet clear on the full agenda. Minister Chinamasa is also one of Zanu-PF’s negotiators to the inter-party talks. The three principals to the Global Political Agreement that led to the formation of the inclusive Government were invited to the troika meeting.

The meeting precedes the official opening of Sadc’s headquarters in that city. Minister Chinamasa said: “The meeting is on today (yesterday) from around 7pm.I can confirm that we are on the agenda alongside Madagascar and in the meantime we do not know what is going to be discussed.”

The Sadc Troika comprises Zambia (chair), South Africa and Mozambique.
