THIS was poor, very, very poor.
Probably, this was the WORST game played in the Castle Lager Premiership this season.
One can only feel for the fans, who came in their numbers, only to be deceived by a goalless stalemate which resembled a boozers game.
Just as well it ended 0-0 because it didn’t deserve a goal.
Dynamos missed a chance to dislodge CAPS United at the summit of the Castle Lager Premiership as they stumbled to this stalemate against Cranborne Bullets at the National Sports Stadium yesterday.
A win, by any margin would have been good enough for the Glamour Boys to regain the top spot.
But Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera’s men battled long and hard and deserved their point.
It means Dynamos have now failed to score in two consecutive fixtures despite scoring a total of five goals in their first two assignments.
DeMbare are now two points off the mark.
Cranborne Bullets came close in the 42th minute but goalkeeper Taimon Mvula was equal to the task to deny Malvin Mudzuka from a free kick just outside the box.
Dynamos coach, Herbert Maruwa, blamed his opponents for their delaying tactics.
“I think my boys played well and I’m happy that we kept another clean sheet.
“Of course I’m worried that we are not scoring but it’s something that is not really bothering me because it’s just a matter of time.
“I have observed that teams are coming with a negative mentality when they are playing us, if you look at it, we only played 20 minutes after the break.
“Our opponents didn’t want to play anymore and it’s really bad but we are going to find a way to solve this problem,” said Maruwa.
Saruchera hailed his men and said he hopes this result will help his team to turn the corner.
Cranborne have now played 360 minutes without finding the target, managing to three draws and a loss.
“It’s a positive result for us and these are the points which will count at the end of the season.
“It wasn’t an easy match but the boys were just good, they managed the game very well and I’m really happy with this result.
“I’m that one coach who doesn’t believe in delaying tactics, those were genuine injuries and my players know I don’t tolerate such behaviour,” said Saruchera.
