Mr Mangezi died at the United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) yesterday morning after succumbing to pancreatic cancer.
Mr Mangezi ran a number of businesses in the city, which included Manor Hotel, Southside Service Station situated at the corner of Main Street and 15th Avenue and TMAN Truck Parts along Fourth Avenue.
Mr Mangezi also had business interests in the mining town of Zvishavane, which included Sparkles Night Club, Dusties Bar and Restaurant, Keats Service Station. He was also into cattle ranching at his farm situated on the outskirts of Zvishavane.
A family spokesperson and son of the businessman, Mr Tapiwa Mangezi, described his father as hard-working man.
“Apart from his love for the motor industry he was also a keen farmer and a wildlife enthusiast,” said Mr Mangezi.
Mr Mangezi said his father will be buried at his rural home in Neshuro, Mwenezi, on Saturday.
Mr Mangezi was born in 1952 in Mwenezi and moved to Bulawayo during his teenage years. He is survived by three sons and two daughters.
Mourners are gathered at Number 401 Kennilworth Towers, Ascot.
