Promoted FC Strikers likely to sell sponsorship

The club, based in the border town of Beitbridge, was promoted from Matabeleland South Division Two A League.
Sources close to the club said the directors were contemplating selling the franchise in the event of the team failing to secure sponsorship

“Some guys feel it is better to sell the franchise than embark on such an expensive journey without any financial backing. Chances of securing sponsorship are however still high,” said a source close to the club.

FC Strikers is home to former Highlanders junior player Paul “Kabila” Mugariri, Thomas Banda, formerly with now defunct AmaZulu and Have-A-Look Dube who turned out for Njube Sundowns.
It is believed that the club is at the moment weighing a $100 000 offer from a South African-based business mogul.
