AWARD-WINNING arts promoters DTL Records and 2 Kings Entertainment are on a mission to redefine the Zimbabwean entertainment and tourism landscape by showcasing the country’s untapped talent while at the same time boosting domestic tourism.
This involves taking local artists to various parts of the country, particularly tourist destinations, where they can interact with diverse communities, explore different cultures and immerse themselves in Zimbabwe’s unique experiences.
This will see talented hip-hop artists, Bagga and Kae Chaps, performing at the iconic Cotton Club in Victoria Falls on Saturday ( July 27).
“We believe in the power of local artists. Zimbabwe has a wealth of untapped talent and we want to give these artists a platform to shine. With this goal in mind, we have embarked on an ambitious tour that will take their roster of artists to every corner of the country.
“Our first stop is Victoria Falls where we have partnered with the iconic Cotton Club to host a show that promises to be a night to remember. Bagga and Kae Chaps will be the ones performing at the show and they will be supported by Vic-Falls’ finest DJs Potato and Ashley.
“We encourage everyone to come out and support our artists. We have chosen Victoria Falls as our starting point because it is a tourist hotspot. We want to attract both locals and visitors to come and experience the incredible talent we have to offer. We are just looking forward to a great and memorable show,” said Dee Nosh.
He added: “We have decided to release the advance tickets on time to ease pressure on fans. The early bird tickets are selling at US$5 and US$15 VIP, respectively. At the gate, they will be selling at US$10 and US$20 VIP”.
He said the move was not just about the music but also about allowing the artists to appreciate the country’s tourist destinations.
“We want our artists to meet new people, explore different cultures, and experience Zimbabwe’s diverse offerings. We also aim to introduce them to potential business partners and collaborators across the country. We began with Victoria Falls, followed by Masvingo and Chiredzi and plan to continue this tour to other towns and cities,” he said.
