Property row turns bloody

Court Correspondent
A Harare man yesterday appeared in court for injuring his brother-in-law in his left palm and stomach with a knife following a dispute over property on Christmas Eve.

Edmore Gunda was facing attempted murder charges when he appeared before magistrate Mr Elijah Makomo.

Allegations are that on December 24, Gunda went to Delton Reverai’s home and had an argument over property he claimed was his.

The court heard that Reverai (24) told Gunda to leave his house and when he was about to close the door it is alleged that Gunda threw a knife in Reverai’s direction hitting once on the left palm and stomach.

It is the State’s case that Reverai later reported to police leading to Gunda’s arrest and the recovery of the knife.
