Prophets called in to bring goblins’ sex sprees to an end

SCORES of Mabuthweni residents yesterday queued to receive prayers from two prophets for deliverance against goblins that were allegedly demanding sex from women. The female residents said they no longer had peaceful nights as the goblins were taking turns to sleep with them.

Residents claimed that they had intended to call witchhunters, popularly referred to as tsikamutanda, but were blocked by the police and ended up opting for the prophets.

The prophets were given a room to operate from by one of the residents.

When Chronicle spoke to one of the prophets, Madzibaba Victor Donga, he said he was going to put an end to the goblins menace.

He was giving the women “holy water” that they would use to bath and sprinkle around their yards.

He said they were offering the prayers for free, but some of the residents were giving them money in appreciation.

The prophet was carrying a knife wrapped with a red and white cloth on one end that he said he would use in case he had to fight with a goblin.

“After cleansing all these people, I’m going to visit some of their houses where I’ll set traps and they shall see the goblins in the form of a chimpanzee walking into their yards and confessing,” Donga said.

He said most of the scars on his hands were as a result of fighting goblins.

Donga said all the females who were being sexually abused and had been “cleansed” were not going to be harassed by the goblins again.

He said he was prepared to fight with the goblins until they surrendered all their evil acts.

Most of the women seeking help in the queue declined to be interviewed.

Priscilla Moyo, a resident in the suburb, said she had come for help as there was a big rat that was causing havoc in her house, but the prophet told her it was a goblin.

“We couldn’t sleep as the goblin which appears in the form of a rat would bang kitchen utensils just to torment us. I tried to use rat poison as a way of killing it, but to my surprise the rat doesn’t eat anything from the house,” Moyo said.

A woman who denied to be identified told Chronicle that on Saturday night, two goblins took turns to “make love to her.”

“That was the most horrific experience I’ve ever come across. The first goblin spent about ten minutes with me before the next one. I could tell it was a different goblin altogether as I felt the difference in the way they harassed me,” she said.

She said the next morning she had difficulties in waking up and conducting her normal duties.

The councillor for the area Lot Siziba confirmed the strange happenings in his area.

“People are now living in fear but I hope they get assistance from the people they called even though police denied us the right to use the community hall,” Clr Siziba said.
