Pros return to the field

Sports Reporter
ZIMBABWE professional golfers will finally heave a sigh of relief when they take part in the Open Classic next month. The players are expected to tee off at Chapman after having spent several months without playing competitively. The annual event is now set for August 8-9. Several top professionals are expected to take part in the first major event since the Zimbabwe Open in April.
Local professional golfers have so far this season participated in the Pre-Open Classic and the Zimbabwe Open.

Last year the Open Classic was held at Wingate with a number of professional golfers taking part.
The event was sponsored to the tune of US$10 000.

The third Golden Pilsener Zambezi Tour tournament is expected to have a strong field that includes several top players.
