Protection order bid against neighbour flops

A PROTECTION order bid by a Harare woman, against her neighbour, flopped yesterday after she failed to convince the court that she was being harassed.

Agnes Muzariri claimed she was constantly being harassed by her neighbour, Mukanya Murarama.

“He comes to my house every day in the morning, and starts insulting me, while standing next to my window.

“The issue between us is that he claims the precast wall I built is in his yard.

“But, I told him to go to the City Council and sort out the issue because I built it exactly where the Council told me I should erect it.

“I want him to stop insulting me and coming to my house.”

However, Murarama opposed the application, denying every allegation made against her.

“She sunk a borehole very close to my house and when people come to fetch water, it starts flowing into my verandah and when I confront her, she gets angry.

“The precast wall she built is in my yard too but she doesn’t want me to put anything on it or touch it.

“If I go behind the house, she gets angry and that’s the problem.”
