Protection order granted against abusive, violent ex-hubby

A HARARE woman is living in fear of her ex-husband, who has developed a habit of physically assaulting her.

He also threatens her with a knife.

Precious Chiwaya said she was fed up with her ex-husband, Shadreck Matarirano’s death threats in her application for a protection order against him.

“He physically insults and harasses me. At one point he threatened to kill me with a knife.

“He even goes around saying bad things about me.”

In response, Shadreck admitted all the allegations, and magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted Precious the protection order.
