Provincial education director dies

Ms Dube passed on in the early hours of Tuesday at a private hospital in Harare. She had been ill for sometime.
Acting provincial education director Ms Fadzai Ruvarashe Jirivengwa confirmed the death.

Ms Dube would be buried today at Dube Chipoka homestead, Madyazvivi in Chivi district.
Mourners are gathered at number 8290 Cold Comfort in Harare.

A holder of a Masters Degree in Administration, Planning and Policy Studies with the Zimbabwe Open University, Ms Dube rose through the ranks from being a primary school teacher in 1978.

At that time she had attained a Certificate in Education and later on went to graduate with a Bachelor of Education Administration degree in 1997.
Between 1986 and 1993 she was the headmistress at a number of schools in Manicaland.

In August 1993, she was appointed education officer in Makoni district.
In March 2000 she was transferred to Rusape where she also worked as district education officer before being elevated to the post of deputy provincial education director for Masvingo in 2004.  In 2007 she was appointed acting PED.
