THE Castle Lager Premiership curtain is coming down this weekend.

The Golden Boot and Golden Gloves awards are  also going to be decided on the last day of the campaign.

And, it’s all going to happen in the City of Kings.

Highlanders goalminder, Ariel Sibanda is in charge of the goalkeepers best prize leading the pack with 17 clean sheets.

Bosso host Ngezi Platinum Stars on Sunday at Barbourfields and there is a chance that Sibanda might share this prize with the visitors’ goalie, Nelson Chadya, who is just a clean sheet behind.

Ngezi are going to be crowned champions after the match for winning the title with two games to spare.

Chadya needs his teammates firing on all cylinders to help his cause.

The 25-year-old won this gong last season and he can only hope that Bosso do not find their firearms on the day.

Knowing that Highlanders have netted seven times in their past 14 assignments will make Chadya breathe a bit easier.

He will further find comfort in appreciating that the champions have struck 22 times in their last 14 games.

The Golden Boot requires different metrics.

It is currently being jointly led by Takunda Benhura of Ngezi Platinum and Bulawayo Chiefs’ Obriel Chirinda.

They have both netted 12 times.

The Ninjas host Manica Diamonds at Luveve tomorrow.

Benhura and Chirinda both want to make a mark in this league.

But should they fail to find the net, they are likely going to be swept away by Simba Bhora’s Tinashe ‘Maswera’ Balakasi, Fortune Binzi of Manica Diamonds, and the Chicken Inn duo of Malvin Hwata and Michael Charamba.

However, it will require a brace or more from anyone of this quartet to end this campaign as the Golden Boot winner, as they have all registered 10 goals.
