THE Premier Soccer League (PSL) is inviting tenders for the provision of security services for the 2023 season which is expected to get underway in the first week of March.
According to the PSL, tenders will be accepted upon payment of US$50.
“Tender documents with the scope of service are obtainable from PSL offices for a non-refundable fee of USD $50. All tenders submitted will only be accepted upon payment of this fee,” the PSL noted.
The deadline for tenders is February 10.
The league season will begin in February with the Castle Challenge Cup between the Chibuku Super Cup winners Bulawayo Chiefs and Castle Lager Premiership champions FC Platinum.
Both sides have resumed preparations for the new season.
While the Norman Mapeza coached FC Platinum have been busy fine tuning for the new season at a sports club in Bulawayo, Chiefs are yet to get serious about their preparations. Amakhosi Amahle, who have been facing financial challenges which have seen them lose five key players only appointed Lizwe Sweswe as their new coach last Friday.
Nilton Terroso
Sweswe, who takes over from Nilton Terroso of Portugal is expected to start working this week as he seeks to get the Twitter Kings back in shape to face the four-times in a row champions in the season opener.
Amakhosi Amahle have already lost goalkeeper David Bizabani to Green Fuel, the Moyo twins, Elvis and Kevin as well as Arthur Musiyiwa to Dynamos while Perfect Chikwende has gone back to FC Platinum. — @innocentskizoe
