PSL programme resumes

LOG leaders Harare City will be looking to consolidate their place at the top of the Castle Lager Premiership soccer table when they resume their campaign against lowly Tripple B at Dulibadzimu on Wednesday. The Premiership programme returns this week following a two-week break but the games could be cancelled again this weekend as the national team host Zambia in the first leg of the Africa Nations Championship second round qualifiers at Rufaro this Sunday.
It was not clear by last night whether Warriors players in camp will be released to play for their teams during the mid-week fixtures. Harare City have one player, Silas Songani, in the national team while giants Dynamos, Highlanders, CAPS United and FC Platinum contribute three players and above that their games could be affected should the Warriors management decide against breaking camp.

Warriors skipper Masimba Mambare leads the four-man Bosso contingent in the Warriors squad that also includes Milton Ncube, Peter “Rio” Moyo and goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya.

Highlanders, who are currently second on the log standings, will be away to Black Mambas while FC Platinum host CAPS United at Mandava on Wednesday.
But Makepekepe have their goalkeeper Tafadzwa Dube, Hardlife Zvirekwi and Dominic Chungwa in national team together with FC Platinum’s Nelson Maziwisa, Ali Sadiki and Charles Sibanda.

Champions Dynamos have five players in Partson Jaure, Devon Chafa, Ocean Mushure, Augustine Mbara, Tawanda Muparati and coach Callisto Pasuwa who is working as Ian Gorowa’s assistant in the Warriors set-up.

The Harare giants are expected to square off with Motor Action at Rufaro on Thursday.
It appears the Premier Soccer League office had released a full fixture for the mid-week and the weekend games without taking into consideration the Warriors’ commitment and they could be forced to revise their schedule.
