The Premier Soccer League has summoned Hardrock FC, Dynamos FC and Hardrock chief executive officer Kudzanai Hove to appear before its disciplinary committee over crowd trouble that forced the abandonment of their Castle Lager PSL match at Chahwanda Stadium on 24 May 2026.

According to a disciplinary summons issued by PSL communications and media liaison officer Kudzai Bare, both clubs face multiple charges for breaches of league rules and regulations.

“Both Hardrock FC and Dynamos FC have been charged with causing the abandonment of the match, disturbing the normal proceedings of a match, pitch invasion, acts of violence and malicious damage to property,” Bare said in the statement.

Hardrock FC faces an additional charge of failing to provide adequate security for the match.

Hove has been individually charged with disorderly conduct, pitch invasion, and violent behaviour.

The match between the hosts and Dynamos was stopped after crowd trouble erupted at Chahwanda Stadium, with fans invading the pitch and damaging property.

“The disciplinary hearing will take place at the Premier Soccer League offices on 9 June, 2026, at 1730hrs,” Bare said.

Both clubs are expected to present their defence before the committee next Monday.

PSL rules provide for sanctions ranging from fines, stadium bans and point deductions for clubs found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute through crowd misconduct.
