THE Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) is hosting the 9th edition of the Public Sector Convention in Bulawayo.
Running under the theme: “Reimagining Public Sector Future: Digital Innovation, Inclusive Governance and Resilient Impact to the Public Sector Profession”, the two-day event is a platform for conversation that’s shaping the future of public service in Zimbabwe, while ideas will meet action from transformative tech to resilient leadership.
The Deputy Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion, Kudakwashe David Mnangagwa is set to deliver a keynote address as Guest Speaker on Shaping a Digitally Enabled Fiscal Future for the Public Sector on Friday.

Among the key speakers are Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Clever Ruswa, Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company Board chairperson Mr Busisa Moyo, Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) Commissioner General Mrs Regina Chinamasa and Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC) Commissioner Dr Obson Matunja under a panel discussion on Digitalisation as a Catalyst for Public Sector Integrity, Efficiency and Economic Growth: Are We Moving Fast Enough?

Permanent Secretary Office of the President and Cabinet Corporate Governance Unit, Mr Allen Choruma will speak on Harnessing Digital Innovation and Good Governance to Accelerate Public Sector Transformation, while Public Service Commission (PSC) Secretary Mrs Sibusisiwe Zembe will tackle The Future-Ready Public Servant: Skills, Mindset, and Impact, among other speakers.
ICAZ is the longest established and the largest Zimbabwean professional accountancy organization. It was set up on 11 January 1918 in terms of Ordinance 14 of 1917. There were fourteen founder members. It is now a statutory body incorporated in terms of the Chartered Accountants Act [Chapter 27:02].
