“We hope to incentivise and inspire other corporates and organisations to help create awareness and raise funds for Mashambanzou children, orphaned by HIV and Aids,” he said.
Between June 24 and 30, six local cyclists will participate in the Schwalbe Tour Transalp in support of Mashambanzou Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) affected by HIV and Aids.
It also marks an amazing recovery of one of the riders from an horrific cycling accident, who will also be dedicating his time to raising money for Mashambanzou while engaging in his passion.
The six riders include Michael Jenrich, Tim Moore, Kevin Wood, Kevin Smith, Anesh Ramlaul and Lloyd Govindan.
These six initiated the launch of the Mashambanzou Cycle Trust Fund, which Mashambanzou will be setting up specifically to support the needs of orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV and Aids.
The fund would be used for educational support, vocational skills training, food supplies and clothing.
