FOUR suspected criminals who went on an armed robbery spree targeting homes in Kadoma, have been arrested.
They are George Chiripapa (38), Tineyi Chiripapa (28), David Dhaka (26) and Stain Madambure (46), all of Rimuka, Kadoma.
Criminal Investigations Department (CID) spokesperson Detective Inspector Rachel Muteweri confirmed the arrest.
“During the period extending from December 26, 2025, to January 20, 2026, the quartet went on a robbing spree in the Kadoma area,” she said.
“They would target unsuspecting victims, forcibly enter premises and get away with valuables. In one of the cases that occurred on January 20, 2026 and at Mai Star Bar and Restaurant, the gang pounced on shop attendants as they were winding up the day.
“They threatened the complainants, assaulted them before making off with cash and cellphones.”
She said through an informer network and service providers, detectives from CID Kadoma were able to trace the stolen cellphones and one of the cellphones ultimately led to the arrest of George Chiripapa, who later implicated his accomplices.
Follow-ups were made, leading to their arrest. Further investigations led to the recovery of an array of articles for criminal use, including electric shockers, okapi knives, balaclavas, pepper spray, a firearm and ammunition, among others.
Additionally, a total of eight cellphones suspected to have been stolen and the getaway car, a Honda Fit with registration number AFL 7659, were recovered.
“The suspects are now clearing a total of 12 armed robbery cases, including others that occurred on January 11, 2026 at Lilly 28 Mine Farm, Kadoma, where one victim suffered broken limbs as a result of their aggression,” Det Insp Muteweri said.
They have since appeared before the Kadoma Magistrates’ Court, where they were remanded in custody for a bail application.
Det Insp Muteweri said police remained committed to community safety and continued to applaud members of the public for their concerted effort in the fight against crime.
