ON May 31, 2025, Queen Elizabeth School came alive with vibrant cultural attire, music and dance as learners gathered to celebrate culture day.
The event was a true reflection of African pride and unity, with learners proudly showcasing their heritage through traditional dances, poetry performances and other creative expressions.
One of the highlights of the day was modelling, where learners graced the runway with confidence and elegance.

The occasion also marked the crowning of Miss Culture, Miss Winter and other cultural ambassadors — selected for their personality, confidence and ability to represent African values and diversity.
But culture day was more than just an event; it was a statement: “I am black and I am proud.”
It reminded everyone of the richness of our traditions, the beauty of our roots and the strength found in unity.
Celebrating our culture as Africans is a way to honour those who came before us while inspiring future generations. Beyond talent, the event encouraged self-expression, identity and a deep appreciation for African heritage.
