AFTER a moral sapping 10 wicket loss to table toppers, Roosters in last Sunday’s Bulawayo Metropolitan Cricket Association First League T20 encounter at Emakhandeni Cricket Club, Queens Sports Club will be looking to quickly bounce back when they face Emakhandeni at the same venue this morning.
The two sides will be playing in the second match of the day after a BAC-Roosters clash.
Queens were last week undone by the pace of seamer Sheunopa Shane Musekwa who ripped through their batting order taking 4 wickets and restricting Queens to just 55 runs.
This morning, Queens will be hoping their batsmen come to the party as they face another side with an aggressive attack on a pitch that gives up nothing to the men on the bat.
Emakhandeni head into the fixture with two their star players, off spinner and skipper John Nyumbu and top order batsman Brian Chari expected to lead by example.
BAC have within their ranks seamers who, like Musekwa, have been able to generate ferocious pace at the venue.
The Queens batting order that includes former BAC top order batsman, Farai Gunda, Singapore all-rounder Anantha Krishna.
In the second match of the day also at Emakhandeni, Fleming Nkomo and his Bulawayo Athletic Club will have the unenviable task of trying to contain the roosters attack led by Musekwa.
All-rounder Nkomo leads the BAC team and after his exploits with the bat albeit in a losing cause against Emakhandeni last Sunday, will again be expected to be the man to watch out for.
